"Sods a' Turf": Irish Guinness Chocolate Brownies

If you have ever been to the West of Ireland, and experienced a real "turf" open fire, most of you will know what these are. "Turf", or peat has been cut for hundreds of years by hand and most recently by machine, and then "saved" in large pieces called "Sods" and brought home to be burned in a fireplace or Range. Turf has been an invaluable source of heat and energy throughout history in Ireland and harvested from the bogs scattered all over Ireland. 

These Little Beauties though only LOOK a bit like "Sods" and are more of an homage. They are made from Guinness and real melted chocolate and really gooey and delicious.
